About Story Spark
Hi, I’m Afzal — the writer and editor behind Story Spark.
I started this blog in June 2026 with a simple idea: everyone loves a good family drama, but the best stories are the ones that make you stop and ask, “Wait… who was actually wrong here?”
Growing up in Pakistan around big, close-knit families, I saw early on that every conflict has two sides. The cousin who “overreacted” usually has a backstory. The sister who “ruined the wedding” often has her own version of events. That gray area — where nobody is completely right or completely wrong — is exactly what Story Spark explores.
What you’ll find here
Every post on this site follows the same format:
- The story — a family or relationship conflict, told from one person’s point of view. Stories are adapted and edited for readability, and all names and identifying details are changed.
- My analysis — a balanced breakdown of both sides, including my honest take on who was in the wrong.
- The psychology behind it — the real relationship concept at play, whether it’s boundary-setting, guilt-tripping, or golden child dynamics.
- Your verdict — because I only give my opinion; the final judgment belongs to you, the readers, in the comments.
How I choose and edit stories
I don’t publish anything as-is. Every story goes through editing for clarity, structure, and readability before it’s published, and I personally write the analysis for each one. My goal is that you leave every post with something to think about — not just something to read.
